One of the most effective ways of dealing with the nuisance animal problem permanently is by trapping and eliminating them. This can be achieved by mounting nuisance animal-sized cage traps at the point of entrance. By so doing, you increase the probability of trapping even non-target nuisance animals. Setting the cage trap right against the hole where these rodents emerge from is the best bet. Primarily, these animals are very active in the morning and evening when it is neither too dark nor too bright, but they move in and out of the attic many times every day in search of food and water.
